Each SMPLR wood blank starts by going through a vacuum process that removes all of the oxygen and nitrogen from the wood. This allows a stabilizing agent to then be injected, filling all of the microscopic pores in the wood. While still under vacuum the blanks are then put through a liquid bath that is heated to upwards of 200°F. The sustained high temperatures react with the stabilizing agent causing a chemical bond with the wood molecules. The result is an Advanced Hardwood product that is denser, tougher and immune to the moisture of your hands, the rain, or even the washing machine!
